Welcome to Hunt Club Law

We, the lawyers at Hunt Club Law office practice independently of each other, but share a common philosophy in respect of the delivery of legal services.

Foremost, we are client centered, that is to say that our focus is in listening to the clients needs and desires, and then applying our extensive legal background, to find a solution which is tailored to the client.

Just as important, we do this at a reasonable cost to the client. We make it a point to explain in advance to our client the likely cost of litigation, and we always explore less expensive alternatives to litigation where these are available and likely to succeed.

Pablo Fernandez-Davila, J.D., LL.M.

Pablo Fernandez-Davila, J.D., LL.M. was called the bar of Sask. in 1992 and to the Ontario Bar in 1994. He articled to Chief Justice Bayda at the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, and at the Canadian Radio-Television Television Commission in Ontario. While in law school he was part of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition (This is the world's largest moot court competition, with participants from over 500 law schools in more than 80 countries), participating as research counsel for the Saskatchewan Team which won the Jessup Cup in 1991. While at University he received many awards (Saskatchewan Law Review Honour, Durward Thomas Prize for excellence in Civil Procedure, Canada Law Book Prize, Undergraduate Scholarship, and the Israel and Leah Chertkow Bursary) . Before he was called to the Bar Pablo practiced as a C.M.A. (Certified Management Accountant). Pablo Fernandez-Davila is always studying and improving himself, he obtained his Masters in Law at the University of Ottawa, in 2004.

This Month's Focus

APRIL and MAY - COLLABORATIVE LAW MONTHS

For the next two months we want to focus the attention of our readers to the practice of Collaborative Family Law. This new approach to resolving couples family law problems provides an alternative to the traditional contentious and expensive family law litigation.

In this approach the parties and their lawyers have a vested interest in finding a solution to the couples problems without recourse to the courts. More importantly it provides the opportunity for creative solutions which would never be available in a traditional adversarial system.

Pablo Fernandez-Davila, J.D., LL.M. is covered under the insurance policy issued by LAWPRO to the sum of $1,000.000.00 per claim. In the event that your case requires additional coverage, we can arrange for extended coverage.

In respect of Commercial (and residential) Real Estate Purchases, we as a practice purchase Title Insurance from Stewart Title Guaranty Co. (also lender protection in the case of re-finances).
